Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 3, at 13.30, the Jerusalem District Court will hear Ezra Nawi’s appeal.

We will stand there, outside and inside the court, to show our support to Ezra and protest against the continual attempt by the Israeli authorities to silence legitimate protest by spurious accusations.

Bustan Qaraaqa (the Tortoise Garden) is a community permaculture project, based in the West Bank town of Beit Sahour (Shepherds’ Fields), close to the city of Bethlehem, and a five minute drive from Jerusalem.

Three weeks ago I wrote the following words after a traumatic night in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarakh. Although originally sent out only to our Israeli lists, they have been posted in several places and we have been asked why they were not sent out to all of our supporters. If you have already read this, you can scroll down to some additional updates and action suggestions below:

This morning the Jerusalem municipality demolished three more houses in the Palestinian neighborhoods of Abu Tor and Beit Hanina and 40 people were displaced.
One of the houses in Abu-Tor was a 70 square meter house belonging to the Shuweiki family and was a home to 12 residents. The Father of the family fainted twice during [...]

In the previous newsletter, we reported an incident of shooting which occurred at the entrance to the site of the City of David in Silwan, in which an Israeli young man shot towards two Palestinian residents on 11/9/09.
