Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 3, at 13.30, the Jerusalem District Court will hear Ezra Nawi’s appeal.

We will stand there, outside and inside the court, to show our support to Ezra and protest against the continual attempt by the Israeli authorities to silence legitimate protest by spurious accusations.

Three weeks ago I wrote the following words after a traumatic night in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarakh. Although originally sent out only to our Israeli lists, they have been posted in several places and we have been asked why they were not sent out to all of our supporters. In the previous newsletter, we reported an incident of shooting which occurred at the entrance to the site of the City of David in Silwan, in which an Israeli young man shot towards two Palestinian residents on 11/9/09.

[ October 25, 2009; ] On Thursday, authorities set an ultimatum for both the Hannoun and the Al-Gawi families to evacuate their tents by Sunday, or be forcefully evacuated.
