A few hours ago the tent of the Gawi family in Sheikh Jerrah was destroyed again by municipality personal accompanied by the police. The tent was put up to protest against the eviction of the family from their home in August this year.

It is important to come an show are support for the evicted families and protest against the eviction of the families from their homes, and now destroying their tent.

היום, בשעה 16:00 בשכונת שייח ג’ראח

לפני שעות ספורות שוב הגיעו פקחי עיריית ירושלים מלווים בשוטרים ופינו את אוהל המחאה שהיה לתחליף קורת גג למשפחת ר’אווי שפונתה מביתה בשייח ג’ראח באוגוסט האחרון.

חשוב מאוד שנגיע להביע סולידריות ולמחות על פינוי התושבים מבתיהם, ועל הוספת חטא על פשע בפינוי האוהל.

Join a march from West to East Jerusalem in protest of the injustice committed against the Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem. The march will end in Sheikh Jarrah with a protest against the settler enterprise in the neighborhood.

The march will start at Zion Square at 13:30, Friday

Every Friday settlers gather in the neighborhood to pray and make their presence known. Such gatherings have often led to attacks on the evicted families.

This Friday they will be joined by members of the radical right wing movement “Im Tirtzu”

Come to raise awareness and protest the settlers’ attempt to take over East Jerusalem!

צעדת מחאה שבועית מכיכר ציון לשייח ג’ראח

הצטרפו לצעדה ממערב ירושלים למזרח העיר, במחאה על העוולות הנעשות כנגד הציבור הפלסטיני במזרח ירושלים. הצעדה תסתיים בשייח ג’ראח בהפגנה כנגד מפעל ההתנחלות בשכונה.

הצעדה תצא מכיכר ציון בשעה 13:30 ביום שישי

מדי שישי מתכנסים מתנחלים בשכונה להתפלל ולהפגין נוכחות. התקהלויות כאלה הובילו לא פעם לתקיפת המשפחות המפונות.

ביום שישי הקרוב יצטרפו אליהם חברים בארגון הימני הקיצוני “אם תרצו”

The little they had in the tent, blankets, mattresses and some basic furniture, was confiscated once more.

1. Tomorrow, Monday 2nd November, at 11 AM, opposite the American Consulate in East Jerusalem,
protest together with the evicted Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah, calling on the US to stand behind its declarations against the illegal eviction of Palestinians for the sake of Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem.

2. Friday, 6th November, at 4 PM:
joint Muslim-Jewish-Christian prayer for peace and the return of the evicted families of Sheikh Jarrah to their homes.

היום, בפעם הרביעית בשבוע האחרון, העירייה ביחד עם כוחות משטרה רבים הרסו את האוהל של משפחת גא’אווי שפונתה לא מזמן מביתה בשיח’ ג’ראח.
מעט הרכוש שהיה באוהל, שמיכות, מזרונים וריהוט בסיסי, הוחרם שוב.

מחר, יום שני 2 בנובמבר בשעה 11 בצהריים, מול מהקונסוליה האמריקנית במזרח ירושלים
מחאה משותפת עם המשפחות הפלסטיניות שפונו בשיח’ ג’ראח בקריאה לממשל האמריקני לעמוד בהצהרותיו התקיפות נגד הפינוי הבלתי חוקי של פלסטינים לצורך יישוב מתנחלים במזרח ירושלים.

ביום שישי, 6 בנובמבר, ב-4 אחה”צ, תפילה מוסלמית-יהודית-נוצרית משותפת לשלום ולהחזרת המשפחות המפונות בשיח’ ג’ראח לבתיהן.
